D365 Finance Techno-Functional Architect (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Techno-Functional Architect to lead the design and implementation of innovative financial solutions. You’ll work closely with various teams to optimize financial processes and help scale operations through Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO). In this role, you will tackle complex challenges, driving strategic initiatives while ensuring systems meet business demands and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Solution Design: Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of financial solutions within D365 FO. Conduct fit-gap analyses to determine where customizations are needed and create detailed design specifications. Focus on integrations with financial systems such as revenue recognition, tax compliance, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Process Engineering: Collaborate with finance teams to streamline processes such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting. Balance automation with practical manual processes and recommend solutions that ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Solution Delivery: Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on system capabilities, and keeping them informed on ERP trends and advancements. Oversee the lifecycle of operations-related projects, from requirements gathering through to deployment and post-implementation support, ensuring timely and effective delivery. Work closely with solution architects, business analysts, and other teams to ensure cohesive operational solutions.
  • Reporting: Collaborate with finance and audit teams to ensure financial data integrity and develop operational reports and dashboards.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and training to teams, helping them maximize the use of D365 FO while mentoring junior staff in functional analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive D365 Finance: Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 Finance, with a strong track record of designing and implementing financial systems.
  • Finance & Accounting Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles and D365 modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets. Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and revenue recognition practices.
  • Reporting: Ability to deliver reporting with tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and D365’s reporting functionalities.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to lead complex projects and manage cross-functional teams, with experience in Agile methodologies being a plus.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Strong analytical skills, capable of solving business challenges and collaborating across various departments to deliver effective solutions.
  • System Integration Experience: Experience integrating D365 FO with other enterprise applications such as Salesforce or other legacy platforms is a plus.
  • D365 Finance Certifications: Certifications preferred, along with knowledge of Microsoft’s broader technology stack including Power Platform and Azure services.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary: $176,000, depending on experience
Bonus: 10% of base salary
Stock Options: $25,000 (The company has consistently exceeded stock program targets in the past and continues to perform exceptionally well.)
On-Target Earnings: $218,600
