**Position Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant with expertise in Yardi software to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations related to property management.


**Key Responsibilities:**


– **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties. Ensure timely and accurate reporting.

– **General Ledger Maintenance:** Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end closing processes.

– **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts for properties.

– **Accounts Receivable and Payable:** Oversee the accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accurate billing, collections, and payment of invoices.

– **Lease Administration:** Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure proper accounting and compliance. Manage lease-related financial transactions.

– **Cash Management:** Monitor and manage cash flow, including tenant deposits and operational funds.

– **Audit and Compliance:** Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.

– **Software Utilization:** Leverage Yardi software for all accounting functions, ensuring maximum efficiency and data integrity.

– **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and other departments to provide financial insights and support.




– **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

– **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of property accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in commercial and/or residential real estate.

– **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Yardi software is required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus.

– **Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

– **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

– **Organizational Skills:** Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

– **Team Player:** Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
