Our client is a multi-country IT MSP focused on Digital Infrastructure, network, Cloud and Security solutions to create agile, secure infrastructure platforms for their customers. We are seeking a skilled Senior Security Systems Engineer to develop and deploy network solutions for complex enterprise environments across varying industries. This role will require an expert understanding of and experience with a wide variety of network technologies and software tools to provide expert solutions to our clients.

 

3 days a week will be focused on one Retail client in the Manchester, CT area – to be onsite 1-3 days. The other 2 days will be focused on a variety of projects for the company’s other clients. Lots of variety and challenges.

Required Qualifications 

  • Cisco: Certified or demonstrative technical ability of CCNP Security.  
  • Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure certifications preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or computer science field preferred 
  • 5+ years of relevant Network Engineering experience supporting enterprise environments. 

 

Required Skills and Responsibilities 

  • Understanding of zero trust architecture and defense-in-depth principles. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Systems design in Hybrid cloud environments. 
  • Expertise with Network Access Control: Cisco ISE 
  • Expertise with Mobile Device Management/EMM Tools 
  • Expertise with Firewalls: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto Networks 
  • Expertise with Network Segmentation: Cisco SD-Access, Cisco Secure Workload (Tetration) 
  • Strong Authentication and MFA (Duo, Ping, Microsoft PKI, SAML/SSO). 
  • Strong Software-defined network technologies (SD-WAN or Silver Peak) 
  • Ability to create clear documentation: High/low-level designs, BoMs, operational handover 
  • Subject matter expertise across Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and IP multicast 
  • Provide level 3 escalation support to NOC via on-call rotation 
  • Experience with network management tools such as Solarwinds, Netbrain, Nagios, etc 

 

Preferred Skills 

  • Previous experience as a Security Solutions Architect for a Value-Added Reseller or product vendor. 
  • Consulting Experience designing solutions for multiple customers. 
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting 
  • Experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower and YAML
